Default Help! soft clutch

All of the sudden my clutch has gotten very soft. When I press it in there is barely any feedback. I've been doing a lot of reading and come to the conclusion that it may or may not be the slave/master cylindar. I'm not super mechanically inclined and was wondering if anyone could give me any insight or has had this problem too

Another thing that's worth noting is the bite point or the point where the clutch is engaging is extremely close to the floor now, as soon as I start to let off the clutch it starts to grab. No problems with shifting through gears though

I have an 05

First step is to check the master. Is it leaking behind the pedal onto the carpet?

Remove the cap from your Clutch master cylinder, it's located in the upper corner of the engine bay, on the driver side, the red arrow is pointing to it.

The fluid is probably low, and dark / black / sludge like. Add more DOT4 brake fluid to this cylinder as a temporary fix. USE EXTREME CAUTION as brake fluid will eat through and damage paint. Napa sells a premium quality DOT4 brake fluid that will work for you.

To again verify where the fluid is going, poke your head up under the dash in the area where the petals are. In the upper left hand corner will you see the back side of the clutch salve cyl. The area will most likely be wet and look like the photo below. Have the clutch master replaced soon as you can. It's recommended you do the slave cylinder (located on the transmission) at the same time. Saves future labor costs doing them both at the same time.

Thanks bro I sincerely appreciate it. I actually checked out the fluid last night and it was exactly as you described. I'll be filling the fluid tonight and getting the master/slave done as soon as poasible, probably this weekend. I'm most likely just going to go to the stealership and have it done, any ideas on cost? Haven't had a chance to call yet

This is an easy DIY job. If you get the parts by this weekend you can come over and I will help you. I am doing my wife's brakes, and haven't decided if I'm going to Enjoy, or just busting out the tools in my garage.

SoS replaced my master, slave, and installed a braided connector line and the damage was less than I expected. Works like a charm!
