So even though you got the plate number and other id the police are not going to follow up with the registered owner???
I know it wouldn't be a major priority to them but damn..

I would think they would have to with witnesses since leaving the scene of an accident is at least a misdemeanor in AZ. Maybe since the car is registered in Gilbert and the accident took place in Scottsdale they have to get Gilbert PD involved? Since Scottsdale PD can't go down there hunting for the responsible party?

My buddy works for the PD and they go anywhere to find the owner.
I've seen Tempe serve warrants in Chandler many times.

From the sound of it I have a feeling this may be an inside job

An officer of the peace from sierra vista can stop you in flagstaff. They are not limited my city or county, however state + country lines, yes . They can go after the person using the evidence, however it will be a detective most likely, and not just the officer who took the report. This may sound strange, but they may do more digging on the suspect before arresting him/her, giving them time to disappear I'm afraid.

Simmy, pm me all the info you have on the guy, I think i may know who it is.

It's not an "inside job" and all of the victims know who it is already, but he is denying that he was there.

Not sure how this is possible when his car would still have many marks left from this fail.

Without a warrant, the police can't exactly force him to open the garage either. lameness, are they active in the s2k or nsx community?

It should be fairly easy to look at his car and see if it is damaged, no?
