he isn't shipping till may 23rd ;( i will probably order that though and see what i can find at frys to hold my phone, sucks though the cd player mount is too far to the passenger seat it looks like. My gf's legs already hit the dash now she will be even more cramped, so ill end up getting the cluster mount which means i get this really irritating cable hanging haha. but wayyyyy nice for getting maps on my phone! Just traded my CL-S in for my S2000 and i already miss having navi

Alright alright nvm i got it I just had to "modify" the grom box a bit to get it to fit, i cant beleive that thing is so blasted big! i had to tear the sides off and kind of bend a panel a bit to wedge it. Sounds great though!! it skipped at first but i think it was a problem with my iphone, restarted car / phone and it works great now.

yeah sorry...back... I actually put it on the passenger side just against the side wall for now... I will eventually modify it like you did and put it up underneath... The other think is I think it will reach the drivers side which I will probably try also..

Sorry for the delay... family was in town...

Hah no problem, just realized surprised i was so big! I tried to find the connector in the trunk but didn't want to tear the whole interior out looking for it and the only plug found did not match up at all to what I was looking for, I tried one last place before giving up (and that included breaking it to make it fit LOL). Does your ipod pause when you turn on your headlights? I am in an 06. (if I turn off my headlights and back on it doesn't happen but the first time I turn them on it pauses my ipod.

So I put my order in friday afternoon, so it should be in tuesday. After reading this thread it sounds like its a pain in the ass to install correctly. I did a quick search for any tips or tech walkthroughs but got nothin. If anyone has any links or tips for an install, please post...

2006, put it in the trunk thats what i read up on, use the XM connector. It was hot out, I was working, and I was tired of tearing my car apart lol so I never found the cable. I found one that was connected to nothing but it didn't fit. What I did was..

I broke off the side mount tabs, then I put the long flat connector towards the passenger side, i tried to lay it horizontal (from driver to passenger) to the right of I think its something to do with airbag? and as close as possible to the front of the dash. I angled it about 30 degree's and i tugged on the dashboard a little bit to push it in, try placing it in without the wires on it first helps a lot. But if you wedge it in the trunk tons of room, and you can run the wire through the center console or whatever (which I wouldn't mind but with iphone 3.0 giving turn by turn nav... i want the wire to reach near my console for gps!)

I am going to call grom tomorrow about my headlights pausing my ipod, real weird. And I got a few skips, looking at reviews and such no one has commented so I think it is just me.

hmmm No... mine doesn't pause when I turn on my headlights.... thats odd... In my 07 just behind the panel to left of the spare is the CD Changer Connector.. and its the same plug ... however you would need a coupler adaptor to use it... since the GROM and the CD Plug are the same.

I will eventually get one and put it in the trunk... probably wait till the cooler months are back...
