You will be pleased with the results.

My recommentation is to wire another power outlet in the front (RonBlanford style - shown on my link above). Takes about 20 minutes, unless you don't want to take your stereo out and then it takes another 20 minutes to realize you should have just taken your stereo out in the first place.

For the factory head unit, you can buy the special adapter here

It plugs into the 6 disc changer plug.

Otherwise, as Doc said, you just need a head unit with Aux outputs (I have a Premiere deck with aux output)

walkabt has done an incredible job of researching mounting and wiring options - can be seen here.

(Hope you don't mind, Jordan)
So to hook an I-pod up to the factory unit all you need is the adapter listed in your link.

Hate to be a smartass (no...actually I don't but that's besides the point) but does the ipod have to be an IPOD per say? Would the same adapter work for a Dell DJ or do you have to support apple in the endeavor?

just curious...

You can connect ANY device with the auxilliary input as long as you can convert the devices output cable to a stereo RCA cable.

Mp3 players typically use a 1/8" jack so you can use any of them and buy an adaptor cable at most any store.

The only thing I can tell you is that the better cables DO make a difference with "whine" in the S2000.

Anyone know anything about the new Honda adapter? It's supposed to come out if it's not out already in a few weeks. I have a 2003 S and the new adapter is supposed to allow me to work the ipod controls from my factory stereo.

Help?????????????

i just realized that the 2003 s2000 factory radio deck does not have an input for the 6-disc changer. damn, wasted money on the HON-AUX. does the 2004-2005 have an input for a 6-disc changer?
