It's that time
Add up what you paid for your car and all the parts you ever bought and I am sure you are well over 50% of the way to owning a Porsche.
GT3's are still in the upper 70-90k range for a 997.1. 997.2's are closer to 100k. I have seen some guys on these forums move up to a 997.1 GT3 RS for I think 85k. Good deals do exist!

I'm just that type of person. We just start out with a different base.
I think I would consider the GTR in that price range but I know that car gets no love from this group.
I am sure a 997 would spank my car too.
If I'm reading right, it has 410hp/300tq and weighs 3000 lbs.
Sounds about the same. Bring it to the track and we'll test the theory
^ I agree. I would still have to do some mods, and well, lets just say those mods are ridiculously priced. Makes ASM look affordable
Also, check out the price on a set of tires for a GT3....It is certainly one thing to afford to buy the car, but its a a whole other story when it comes to maintenance and parts. Those things ain't cheap! I like paying $600 for a set of tires installed, not $2,000+ lol.
Some people say that if you can just barely afford the car payment, then you can't really afford to own one. My buddy just has a Boxster, and while it has been reliable, whenever it does go in for service or needs new parts, its about 3times the cost of the S2000.

That's insane! But I totally agree with you~ if you can just afford the payment of a Porsche, you can't really afford it.
Trouble with European cars is that a lot of the parts do carry a premium.

Excuse me for asking but what are you doing in a $30k car when you can afford a $60k car?

Surely there will be more choice in Cali or TX and even cheaper from non-dealer.
Hope you find a nice one Dave. And def keep coming out to the meets so we can get rides in that monster and you can show us what makes it so pimptastic

I want a Gallardo myself but maybe next week lol

Ivan, that's the NA model. Turbo models would be another 20k.

No such thing as a Turbo GT3.
