Default Looking for another DD that is child friendly

So, the wife and I want to have some kids soon, so I was wondering what would be another DD (I am keeping the S!) that would be fun, and safe for toddlers

I previously had an Evo 9 and I enjoyed it, but it did not have that "sports car" feel like the S has. I would not mind going back to one, or a subaur (WRX Sti or Forrester) and wanted some input from you guys...

If there are any other cars that you guys would recommend, please feel free to chime in

Any Subaru would work fine. STi, Legacy GT, Forester XT.

Do you know of any prevalent issues with certain year subaru's? Or are they all as sturdy as camry's

+1 Legacy GT or STi. Subaru rivals Honda for reliability. Everyone in the northeast drives a Subie and the environment there is pretty harsh. They just run forever.

We are at this same crossroad right now, since we are going to start trying to get pregnant. Having owned an STi, I can honestly say I wouldn't want to drive one with a baby on board. The ride is very harsh and the backseat is rather small even for a 4 door.

I think we've decided on the Audi A3. It still has a very sporty feel, but the ride quality is much better than our STi. Not to mention it's easy to make power with =), for those baby less trips of course.

I really don't have any good pics, but here are some crappy ones. Disregard the front bumper and dents/dings, the car is somewhat of a "battle wagon":

I agree, the STI is not the best for a baby. Loud and harsh. I would get a forester, or a Legacy GT. Legacy being the best choice. You could get an accessport from COBB to get a little more performance too.

Forgot to mention that the new DD is going to be mainly for when I have to drive the baby around when it is just me and him/her. The wife has a C240, that we will be driving when it's all of us taking a trip or drive somewhere, I just wanted something that had backseats that my wife would not gripe about. Heck, I do not mind a van either, all thoughts and ideas are welcome.
