i would get the lotus and live with it for DD. you will want to start tracking eventually, and lets face it, no matter how uncomfotable it is to get in and out of that car, everyone knows that car is pimp. it is a rare amazing car, that the ladies just drool over. and i would pick the lotus over a vette anyday.

Elise for a DD is hardcore, some may even consider it punishment. If you want one go for it but make sure you get a good enough price so you can afford a beater when you get sick of DD'ing it in two months.

Also budget in some track days so you don't wad up your new ride.

Ooo...I just thought of something. Just buy something to get you by until the 1 series is out. 128 should be in the same $$ range if you save up until it gets here the 135 should be within reach.

Dude I want to go when you test drive the lotus!! Definitely get the Elise.

Did you have any trouble test driving the Lotus ? I mean did the dealership let you take one out without any reservations ?

Before I bought my S honda cars of mesa would not let me test drive one. Maybe they assumed I was not sersious. Obviously they didn't get my business.

I want an Sport Exige soooo baaadd....
