There is a guy on the board that makes really nice pieces that snap right in the spare tire spot.

EDIT:
Found it:

Will either of those JL's Fit under the seat or are they too long ? I really did not want to take out the spare tire.

I found that attempting to mount anything under the seats was is a losing battle. You can get an amp above the gas tank though, I had 2 JL amps 300/4 & 500/1 mounted above the tank, lost the spare tire, but that's what the tow truck is for. Both fried so now I have a Alpine mounted in the trunk. Summer heat can be a bitch.

When you say summer heat can be a b***ch do you mean because the amps life is shortened in that trunk ? That's why i was hoping to get under the seat.

I only got two years out of mine but it is parked outside under a car cover at work. The car cover acts much like a solar oven in the sun. Then I only drive it about five miles on the way home so it doesn't get much time to dissipate the heat. I have only had the Alpine for about a year but after one summer it hasn't lost a channel yet. I couldn't say about the JL.

Thanks for that info. I too have a car cover and it works nicely but realize that it will get hot regardless during the summer. . The only advantage is my car is white which is suppose to attract a little less heat.

I took out the spare, made a board that bolts in there instead of the wheel, stuck my 900 watt amplifier onto it. Now its stealthy, no overheating. Lights blink but that's about it. With 300 watts you should have no problems.
