Do you have wind noise with your top while you drive as well as the squeaks?

Don't know if it applies, but on my top, the latches that the top hooks into inevitably warped over time, causing the top to not latch as good as it should.

As a direct result of this, the top had some play, causing squeaks and a lot of wind noise, particularly at higher speed, like the freeway.

You can get the plates replaced, which will fix this problem, or you can ghetto fix it by putting something (somewhat thin) in the cradle of the hooks, which will tighten the clamp.

Hope that helps! :-)

I'm willing to bet the creaking is cause by wear on the locking mechanism. Put a small rubber grommet on the alignment pin & it should stop the creaking.

one of the ghetto fixes is to flip the latches (on the windsheild) from side to side. the other is to put aquarium air hose over the hook to add mass.

Thanks for the advice on the Lithium grease. Went out and got some. The creaks seem to be gone again so hopefully this will do the trick.

Anyone have that small hose, I'd like to put that one as well
