Rear Bumper
All,
I'd like to be able to take off the rear ABS plastic bumper so that I can work a few problem areas on it. Can the rear bumper be taken off and re-installed? From other discarded bumpers, I see that there are a lot of snap connectors that attach the bumper to the body. Those tabs are broken when someone is just ripping the bumper off and discarding it.
Anyone ever removed and replaced their bumper?
If so, can you share how you did it?
Thx,
CB

Never removed the back but I've taken my front off/on several times with no issues. On the front at least, they use hardware (screws, brackets) to secure the bumper and then use the plastic retaining clips to secure the underbody trays to the bumper. Just need to remember to remove the trays first.
Is this not the case with the rear bumper?

Rob (Random1) has some pics of the rear bumper removed on his website. http://www.pbase.com/rsrock/trailer
With some help, I fabricated a hitch for my 03 S2000 based on Rob's hitch.
I took the bumper off for the install. I don't recall the specifics of removing the rear bumper, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Just remove all the fasteners and take your time.
