I still will get a beat up salvaged s2000. As for lambo/ft1/etc, that's in a year or two as mentioned in OP. I needed a toy/fun dd now. I drove a lot of s2000's and most of them needed so much cash in them I might as well get a cleaner one (read, oh you need to redo the suspension, but you still want 8k?) and if I get a cleaner one etc etc etc. I randomly drove my buddies manual 335i, and it made me legitimately surprised in how fun it was. Drove a 335i coupe, was more surprised, then drove a 135i and bought it, and before anyone asks, yes I've driven M3s, S4s, M%s etc. All are meh. The 135i honestly reminded me of the s2000. Tossable and light, except this time it had the torques.



However it doesn't come without it's problems;

- There's no LSD. After looking for one it's gonna cost about $1500-2500 because lame BMW decided "no LSDs for non M cars!" while 20k ford mustangs have LSDs.
- Engine bay is retarded hot. Need vorsteiner hood
- Stuff is noticeably more expensive for the exact same part, but it's still a "cheap" car considering what S2000s, FRSs, etc go for
- Has as shitty offsets as the s2000, but with the added disadvantage of being 5x120.
- Can't beat on it without really pissing off the computers. Has an Evotech flash, but here's hoping the accessport fixes this
- It needs an EFR 7163, fitting it is going to really suck.
- I have no idea what to do about the fuel system
- "Name brand" solutions, such as oil coolers are $700 dollars. Are you kidding me? Setrab + parker store done.
- I apparently need a lot more torx and security torx bits
- I feel like a gigantic douchebag driving it
- Why the hell isn't it keyless push button start? Why do I have to put the stupid fob in? I'd prefer key turn + start like the S2000, or like the Lexus and I just hop in and press button.
- I effectively can't listen to EDM in the car. No Getter, no Tincup and certainly no Eptic. I get even worse looks while jamming out.
- I had to take out a mortgage on the house to buy enough hair gel

 

Haha you find that many problems and bought anyway? Huh.
