Default Shop Recomendations

Just to start off, I'm not starting a thread to have anyone bash a shop or anything like that, just trying to get opinions since I'm new to the area.

I know I want to go F.I. sometime in the near future. I've had Turbo'd and Supercharged EK's, Evo's, and NA S2k's. The difference with the EK's was, the B-Series always had were roots style and not a linear power supercharger. Anyways, my point being, I'm open to Turbo or Supercharge the S2.

I know SOS is very active on the boards and hear nothing but great things about them. I did a little searching and see that Full Race has a good rep for building fast cars, but that's about it. Like I said, I'm open to Turbo or Supercharged. I'd almost rather go Turbo, but knowing how well SOS takes care of their customers holds a lot of weight. Any input??

Thank you for your inquiry.

We are very capable to take on a project like this. We install both supercharger and turbocharger systems. I think your best bet is to visit each shop, visit with the principles that would be involved in the project, and make the decision from there.

We have worked with FullRace in the past, and are more than happy to install their components.

Cheers,
-- Chris

this is a very good question........

What are your goals ? How do you plan on using the car?

I have to say that the SoS supercharger kit is a very well thought out kit and I personally have seen great things from it

+1. the full race kit will take away from the drive-ability and functionality of your car. the SOS kit doesn't. I would HIGHLY recommend Science of Speed since they are a one stop shop, you can get all your parts through them, they install it, you drive away. if for the rare incident something happens or you hear a sound, they are there, they will look at it immediately, and they know all the product cause its theirs.

look into full race if you would like to, but I wouldn't even question where i would take mine.

If you're going turbo check out AFI Turbo twin scroll setup

The S2K is my second car, I don't really drive it that much. I would like the S2K to be 400+/- HP WHP. The main thing is I know I could eventually make more power with a Turbo setup and it would be cheaper to get that power, but seeing that dyno of the SOS Stage2 making over 400 is pretty sick and all the great feedback and having them respond so quickly on the boards helps out a lot too.

SOS needs to go back to needing testers for their supercharger again......just saying lol.

You gave us a power goal....which is achievable on the SOS kit...but once again how do you plan on using the car?

Track days?......Fun toy for weekend cruising?... Canyon Runner ?

Power delivery is important as well.....

We have seen the AFI Turbo S2000 make 490whp @ 8200 rpm on their twin scroll set up using a GT 3076 and E85 fuel......full spool by 4000 rpm...

made 350ft/lbs of torque from 4300-7000 rpms..................on a stock motor

Most likely it will just be a fun car, beat up the streets type of deal. Maybe a track day or drag night. Thats why im leaning towards Turbo. If i wanted to track it every weekend i'd go SOS in a heartbeat. I put maybe 500 miles MAX every month on it. I work from home and have a truck, so it really doesnt get driven that much.

Sidenote, this is the first Im hearing about AFI also, are they well known in AZ too?
