Starting to mod
I'm pretty much new to the s2k, so i'm not really sure which direction to go in. I'd like to go FI, but college comes first money wise. I've been looking around and it seems like intake and VAFC would be a decent start. Sorry for the noob questions I just don't want to waste my money. Anyone in the phx area have a VAFC installed? I'd kinda like to check it out.

Only takes about an hour to two hours to install.
Be aware it does involve cutting.
EDIT: Didn't read the whole thing - the above is for the AEM CAI
You would need someone else to help with the VAFC.
Oh, and we help you install your parts.

I have the AEM. I like the sound and it works well. My car is not a daily driver, so I don't worry about water concerns. I have driven it in torrential rain without an issue, just avoid the puddles.
Doc, Sprchrg, Wortham, Veneficus have superchargers right now - the first three have the comptech CAI. Jayhawker had one when he had his S2000. I believe the intake is the same, so you could use it if you upgraded to the SC.
the AEM site used to have the installation procedures on it - you have to cut the splash guard, and really modify another part if you want to keep it on.

I also have a VAFC on the way so I will be looking for some opinions on install location. Does anybody else have one currently?
Cypher, I'm not signed up for the techday because I'm not sure of my availability yet but if I make it and we dive into doing the install or I do it myself you're more than welcome to check it out sometime.
Oh yeah I also got the Hondata gasket today, does anybody wanna tackle that with me?

If I had to do over I would probably go comptech as long as price isn't a factor for you. Mostly because it takes up some of the space under the hood. It would also benefit you if you're thinking of going with a SC in the future.
