Arrow Stroking vs. Destroking

I am offended from a few of the posts that were made in this topic, so I am removing it as best as I can and I will keep this research to myself. For those who want to know more can reach out to me on a personal level.

It will take a lot more money and development to destroke the engine and make power. Yes, lighter mass would mean it can spin easier, but it doesn't necessarily mean it can spin faster.

In contrast, when you stroke the engine, it will have more capacity and will "burn" more (or just as much in theory) in time than a high revving destroked engine.

You can't seriously want to destroke a 2 liter that already revs to 9k?

destroking an s2000 would be a little overkill, if there is such a thing. Take an already torquless, rev happy motor and building on those characteristics???

In all seriousness NO!!!!!!!!

There is no benefit long term or short term. Build your 2.0l and push 300 out of it. It can be done and has been done. Then again a budget wasnt in the picture. So if money is no object then go for it.

Not to be that guy but you'd save a lot of money just installing a supercharger and a new set of gears. The power and response wont be matched by an n/a setup.

Please try to keep this more factual rather than opinionated; I really would like this topic to be an informative guide for everyone who is in the market for this type of engine work. Keeping it more factual will help them make the decision for themselves based on their goals for their s2000.
That's when I realized I have little to contribute.

The only thing I can think of is that if your target is 300WHP then besides making power you can try to reduce loss by getting the lightest flywheel, wheels, nuts, tires, and a carbon driveshaft.

I wish I wasn't such a noob.
