According to their website, there are three different systems:

Not sure what the diffs are.

maybe the pulley sizes are different? since the psi depends on your rpms. to make up for the 1k rpm difference??

email/call comptech directly and see. The general consensus though is that they are NOT compatible

I believe the kits are 99% compatible except for the pulley size. On my prior ap2, I bought a vortech from a friend's ap1 and it worked fine. Just 1psi lower boost I believe.

On a side note - Have you ever drove or rode in a s2k with a supercharger? It's very different than any other s/c car. It only makes more power above 6k rpms. Feels stock until thhat point which is kind of lame.

AP1 stock pulley is 4.4" and AP2 is 4.2". They both produce approximately 5.5 lbs stock. If you bought an AP1 kit with stock pulley, you would be about 1 psi lower like Skibum mentioned. It's easy enough to replace though, good luck.

The turbo powerband is much more user friendly but also expect a to spend $2-4k more than a s/c unless you get the greddy.
