[QUOTE=1FastS2k,Oct 30 2007, 04:56 PM] I believe it was oil banjo bolts being too small causing oil starvation but was supposedly fixed w/ later 02+.

Update:

They called and told me that they know for sure what happened now. I spun a rod bearing, wore down one of the cam journals WAY past tolerance, and there are a lot of brass shavings in the oilpan. A few valves are effed too.

They also told me that the adjuster came buy and promptly denied the warranty claim. Now I have to submit a letter of dispute to try and appeal the decision, which will take 15 business days (read: 3 weeks) to process and reconsider.

This blows.

the brass shavings are from the bearing, but the cam journal (scratching). i would definately dispute. not your problem.

What a pain. If you don't already have two vehicles...buy another one. This is going to take a while. You could always use this as an excuse to go 2.5L though

no, he is just being realistic. why would you want a completely lame 108.5 hp per litre, which by the way is in chevy neighborhood . when you could have a WHOPPING 120 hp per litre!!!!
