What Nik said, they are very anal about how much they'll give you and they look at each and every single credit card you have. I have one that has a little over $1000 and decent credit and have been paying on time and a little more but they see it as too much "debt."

As far as the other stuff goes that's pretty much par for the course wherever you go. Just take some of the cash you got from the car any pay that card off. Put the rest away (in a separate account) so you don't spend it on random shit and just start bankrolling until you find the car you really want. At that point you should have more than enough cash to make financing whatever you need easy.

I agree with you on that David. I applied for a personal loan instead of the auto loan crap due to the title crap. When Adam bought the CR out of state, he couldn't go through a credit union either due to the title crap. I almost just rather finance through a dealer even though the apr will be higher to avoid the hassle through the credit union crap. Everything is crap
I know someone is going to flame but I used the Capital One auto finance blank check program to get my S.
They will finance a car up to 7 years old as long as it has less than 70,000 miles and the rates are decent.
You might as well give them a try and see what rate they can give you if you already did a credit pull.
It sure as hell beats dealing with a finance guy at a dealer... Never again!
Oh, and I got my car in California too, had no issues with title at all.
We agreed on a CASH PRICE over the phone for the car...
Then I overnighted the filled out and signed check cap one gave me to the dealer.
Next day the car was picked up and on its way to Arizona on a semi.
The only tricky thing was the sales tax. Like who paid what to who
Overall it was a very smooth transaction!
PM me Alex and I can give you details.
