Yea just plan on financing the car through the dealer. Get the car here in state, then refinance through a credit union. Desert schools gave me a 3.99% and the dealers financier gave me 4.11% Neither are bad. Actually this reminds me that I need to go refinance my car and try to get that 3.99% again!

Plus if you finance the entire amount through the dealer, you have the piece of mind that you don't have to send money, give cc info over the phone etc. I was ready to drop a chunk of cash on my new car, but because of all the issues I had, I just financed it all through the bank, and left my money in the bank for the time being.

To be honest, I really do like Desert Schools and I've been using them for 10+ years now, but seriously, they really need to change their rules about the title crap. It limits the buyer so much in terms the selection of the car. I can see a lot of sellers not wanting to give the car to the person without getting the money for obvious reasons and the stupid bank won't give you the money if they don't have the title... just an endless stand off. My buddy that bought his RX-7 out in Cali had the same problem and he had to make like 3 trips out there just to get the purchase straightened out.

DS also used to have great interest rates, but lately it's been kinda high~ for a 2006 they wanted 4.99% and gave a .25% discount if you opted for the automatic withdrawls from your checking account. US Bank just gave me a 2.99%.

So does each bank have different stipulations in regards to personal and auto loans? So if I didn't get approved through Truwest then most likely I wont get approved anywhere else right? Thanks for all the feedback

And didn't brian from tempe honda have an 06 turbo suzuka?

Yes each bank is different. One bank may so no, but another might say yes. Unfortunately every time a Bank processes your credit it hurts, but its part of the deal! GL.

From what I've gathered, once you've had your credit processed, you have a time period where it doesn't hurt your credit every time you process it since you are shopping. I'm not sure on how long that period is though, maybe 2 weeks.
