Default Bent Rim

I know someone was recently talking about finding a place to machine wheels. Anyone know a place that can fix a bent rim? I hit road debris in my old car and bent the lip on the backside of the rim - no cracks but I've heard how difficult it can be to remold an aluminum wheel... Any help would be appreciated! The doughnut isn't that cool!

You got any pics of the rim? How bad is it bent? There may be a place locally that can repair it, depending of how bad the damage is. But if you do find a place most of them like you to only bring them the rim tireless..I'll ask around and find a shop for you....

Doesn't look that bad, what did you hit? I just ask because if it was a pot hole of some thing due to the road being messed up...The city should pay to get it fix, I hit some of those plates they use to cover the roads sometimes. Mine were a bit worse two-piece wheel with deep lips. There were no signs warning to slow down, and then I hit the plate and bent both rims and the tires were toast. So if it was because of the shity roads out here, I would at-least contact the city and see. You might get another set of rims out of it...

It was from a piece of 4x4 wood on i-40 passing through Memphis unfortunately. They have a free roadside assistance car that drives around and as he asked me what I hit, I looked behind his car and about 3 other people drove over the piece of wood and demolished it lol. It isn't that easy for us low cars with low profile tires tho

lol... What makes you think they can't fix the barrel? That's an easy fix. I've personally seen much worse fixed to a perfectly round wheel. I use a place out of Houston called Rollo's Solutions. http://www.mywheelrepair.com/ We take all of our expensive wheels to these guys and they do it right. I'm actually taking a friends VS-XX's Thrusday...

IDK how long I can keep up with this spare since I've already put about 350+ miles on it lol. Houston is a little out of my driving range unfortunately but thanks for the info!
