So i was driving home from Little Rock last night and i wasnt paying any attention and ended up with a speeding ticket. The car i was in was my roommates BMW since the S2000 is down at the moment. He clocked me doing a 73 in a 55. I thought the speed limit was 65 in that area. All this damn construction on the highways is starting to piss me off. Oh well, i hope i will have enough to pay it as i have to pay circuit city $959 in a couple of weeks before they hit me with interest! If any of you all have state trooper friends and can help me out let me know! lol

that blows. all i know is LA cops. what area were you in? normally when i was in little rock it was pretty laxed as far as speed, as long as you werent going triple digits

I was in sherwood, which is right next to little rock.

Wait... you were doing 73 in a 55 in Sherwood... the place in Arkansas most notorious for zero tolerence on speeding and officers that give out hundreds of speeding tickets weekly!?!?!

Sorry Fadi, but that was not smart. Just pay the ticket and ask for probation. It wont go on your record as long as you keep your nose clean for a year.

That makes going 73 not nearly as bad. And with all the stuff going on coming into and going out of LR its hard to tell what the speed limit is anyways. You dont know if your in a construction zone or if you just left one.

He did not come on here and ask for someone to tell him how "bad" it was for him to get a ticket and how it was not smart.

I havent been in sherwood in 3 years..ever since i started college. I was in my friends car and really just wasnt watching my speed that well. The area used to be 65 and i guess they changed it to 55 after they finished construction in that section. Im hoping they give me probation or a civil penelty.
