I havent been in sherwood in 3 years..ever since i started college. I was in my friends car and really just wasnt watching my speed that well. The area used to be 65 and i guess they changed it to 55 after they finished construction in that section. Im hoping they give me probation or a civil penelty.
If you havent had anything on your record in 3 years (in all of Arkansas, not just Sherwood), then you can qualify for civil penalty under Arkansas law. That is the way to go if you can get it because it is totally exsponged rather than carrying a probationary period.

I got one for 75 in a 55 in an area I listed as a speed trap in that "No Fly Zone" thread I created a while back. I felt like a total dumb ass.

What was weird about it to me was when I called the office the woman on the phone didn't want the ticket number. She only wanted to know my speed over the limit and if I was wearing a seat belt. She didn't even ask my name or license number or anything. I wanted to just ignore the whole thing, assuming they don't keep any legitimate records, but my wife wouldn't let me.

The back of the ticket has their phone number, mailing address, and instructions to include the ticket with payment. I guess all that is standard, but if the woman on the phone had no interest in knowing who I was or what I was paying for, how would they know that I'd payed it at all?
