not trying to change the venue nor do i want to change the date. but just as a reference point, generally fridays are one of those weird off days. it may be with s2ki members, but i used to have a difficult time planning meets on fridays. AND izzo's is a great place to meet/greet/eat, BUT i see izzo's as an afterthought kinda thing (a place to go to when you want to throw a quick meet/eat).

WHAT IF, what if we could do one of the meditteranean (sp?) restaurants in metairie .. just a thought

 

I don't like to plan meets at unknown places because, the parking might be a either a nightmare, or we can get asked to leave. Izzo's is one of the GNO regular meeting locations and so is Cafe' Du Monde on Vets. We always have ample parking, they have easy access from I10, it's centralized for our westbank, northshore and Laplace members and no one usually bothers us at these locations. We have tried many locations over the past 3 years and these work so we visit them often.

I am VERY open to meets at other locations if you are familiar with them and are sure that the meet will go unmolested. Please offer suggestions.

Friday is the day that most of the GNO members have available to meet. Personally, Saturday and Sunday are nearly impossible for me because I spend those days with my family. So Friday is the only day that I can usually attend meets, unless I plan them a few weeks in advance.

I can understand if most of you are unable to attend, but I figured that I would open the invitation to you in case anyone is interested.

 

How about the Mississippi I-10 Welcome Center.

Plenty of parking and they have some good eats in the machines.

I would zoom over this Friday but its Senior night at LBHS so I have to be at the football game to get introduced as AJ's dad. Maybe sing a song or two or do some river-dancing while I have an audience.

 

Mike, I'm always down for a good MS meet. I love driving the S obviously. We need to plan up another one soon. We had such a buzzkill for that last meet, which was otherwise awesome.

 

Let me put my thinkin' cap on.

Lots of good food over here...not like NOLA but not bad.
