Default Local track days

I know there are a lot more tracks in the north east Tx area than here in NC so I am looking fwd to getting to finally make some trips to a road course.

Few questions though,

What is the average cost of a track day, what do they tech, what if any mods do I need to do (such as oil filter/drain plug safety wiring/cages and so on) to pass. In other words, how much am I going to spend to go beat the hell out of my car there

Wknd track event: $295. http://www.thedriversedge.net/

Hotel - $115/wknd. Split with another track junky and save $57.

Meals/Beer - entirely up to you.

drinks/snacks - $10.

Gas - $100 including driving to track and on track.

Tires/pads - defintely some wear but I doubt you will use them up in one wknd.

I would say overall - you are looking in the $550 - 600 range for a wknd of track use.

MODS: None. But you do need a SA2005 helmet.

Tech: to make sure you car is safe to be on track and isn't leaking any fluids.

Tracks: MSR - Cresson, Eagles Canyon Raceway - Decatur, and TWS - College Station.

MSR and TWS are 170 miles from Tyler. ECR - 185 miles away.

GL.

It is a little pricey, but so much fun, and money is certainly well spent.

Yep, the price to drive time ratio is still better than that of a drag race, especially if your drag car is fast

I can't wait to get out there and have at it.

If it's on a weekend and my new job works out the way I want it too, I will be all over a fall drive anywhere.

The Boston Mountain Tour is bada$$.....You should really try and make it out to that. Myself and 3 buddies drove out there this spring from Dallas and it was a great time!

Yeah I had actually planned on going too, but ended up having to work a coverage shift that weekend.
It does look awesome!
