Thanks you guys.... i'm going to talk to the bank and see if they could possibly raise the limit or lower the year or something... they were kinda hesitant to give me 16000 for a 02 with 75k miles (since this my first auto loan and all).. but hopefully i wont have to settle for anything else!

 

if you dont mint an 02 you can find plenty of them with half that mileage.

There is an '03 on Ebay right now with 18k miles for a buy it now of $17,500.

If you are patient, I think you can find something good in an 02-03 for that price range.

Just hang in there. Most of the best deals are not found over night. You have the right idea about looking in Dallas, Austin, or Houston. They are much larger markets, and you have a better chance of finding a better price in a larger market.

 

very true. there are plenty on the site. you generally have to drive far for the good deals
