Wankel, as an instructor I never require the students to allow me to drive their cars. As a student myself I learned that I was missing a great deal if I didn't ride with one or more instructors driving my car. Somethings are just easier to show and explain from behind the wheel.

When driving someones else's car on the track there's always that little fear of "what if" that keeps me from driving it as hard as I would if I owned it. I don't mind batting a cone with someone else's car because cone marks come off without damage but I sure as hell don't want to bend their car. I did have a right rear suspension failure while driving a V8 powered Formula Atlantic car at Talladega last year driving someone else's car. I spun to within 6 inches of the wall at well over 100-mph. That one couldn

 

CG, I'm sure you have plenty of driving experience...more than most of us on the board. If you do wreck my car, I'll take your S2000 as compensation, and you can keep the CL.

 

I just had the coolest dream... well cool for me, but a nightmare for everyone else! I just had these visions of S2K after S2K going in circles and running over cones while I stuffed my face with FREE food! It was bliss! I have decided the punishment... The loser must be recorded on camera singing "I'm a little tea pot" complete with hand motions. The video will be encoded and a link placed to it on the main forum explaing why they should look. How does this sound?
