icemans2k02 10-11-2010 09:50 AM

Lol that's because the s2000 pwns all! Plus mason has the driver mod :) with his vin diesel pose!

ans2k 10-11-2010 10:24 AM

man when i first got my s2k, fadi told me the first mod should be (as i heard it) "Drive R" mod. lol i asked where can i get that and how much is it? man its been 4 years since then.

icemans2k02 10-11-2010 12:42 PM

lmao. its funny but true. So many of my friends when they got them were wanting to mod them but would spin them out. Its a confident car but you need seat time with this girl to get the real benefit of her

This is true I'm sure. I think some actual track time, and direction from some experienced drivers would work wonders for me. People tend to believe they're much better drivers than they really are.

mr flannery77 10-11-2010 12:53 PM

On another note, have any of u guys ever used Sonax wheel cleaner? I'm thinking of ordering some from detailers domain.

icemans2k02 10-11-2010 12:56 PM

hmm I thought I read that it ate the finish off volk wheels. could be wrong.

^ This is a win for anyone with the s2000. It could save your car and your life. Confidence always bites you in the ass when you arent expecting it

icemans2k02 10-11-2010 01:45 PM

Could be sir. I always just used soap and water. Maybe Andy could chime in...lol

Thanks for the link Bobby! I like to know of all my options before making a purchase... Even if it is just $15 - $20.

Thought this was an interesting alteration of the AP1 rear bumper. I'm wanting to check and see if they'll sell the components only, so that one wouldn't have to ship their bumper overseas. http://www.arrows-japan.com/parts-other2.html

The vented bumper helps eliminate the "parachute effect" that Arrows refers to.

I had already intended on picking up their CF single exhaust cap, and shift knob. This would be a functional and aesthetic addition to the bumper as well.

icemans2k02 10-12-2010 05:59 AM

This is a huge advantage on the track as so much turbulence is generated under that back bumper. If you are looking at a single exhaust cap check into gtmotoring. Talk to Greg there. Actually I might check with a buddy of mine. I had a brand new one I had bought never used it and sold it to a buddy and he never used it. (he wrecked his car :( ) Ill ask and make sure he still has his it. Its a CF one as well too!

icemans2k02 10-12-2010 06:00 AM

Thats the link to the one sir

ans2k 10-12-2010 07:06 AM

I always wanted to cut holes in my bumper but the only problem I had with it was cutting holes into my bumper. Lol.

Make yourself a username and an intro thread:

Team Sun*Works

icemans2k02 10-13-2010 07:33 AM

Any perks for joining it or meet requirements?

Mason my buddy is going to look for that piece tonight after work. I'll let you know if he still has it

Munnerlyn 10-13-2010 07:46 AM

Honestly, there are a lot of perks. Sun*Works is a family. I've made a lot of good friends through the group. We have over 80 members nationwide with major chapters being in Houston, North Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas (10 members), and Florida. We usually win best Team Representation at most shows and many other awards. The people that are in S*W are serious about the import culture. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. It's not really about any discounts or anything, just hanging with the family! I'm proud to rep Sun Works.

As far as requirements and qualifications go, get on the forums and introduce yourself. Hang around for a while and get to know the family! Come out to the meets! It's not just about the cars, it's about the person's character... :hello:

icemans2k02 10-13-2010 07:49 AM

speaking of meets your "brothers" in our group our going to give you a wedgie for not coming the 23rd :)

Hey, do you do auto insurance? can you beat progressive?

Auto insurance made me cry when i moved to Louisiana. It would have gone up by like 3X if I went with State Farm or Allstate. Progressive with like half the coverage that i had got me down to 'just' 1.5X the cost in Ohio lol. I wonder if all those people that sue the crap out of everyone realize that they are just hurting their entire state?

icemans2k02 10-14-2010 11:33 AM

Yes sir I do. Yea man I literally just got off the phone with a lady that moved from Oregon to here and she flipped when she knew her rates doubled. That exactly what it is, people sueing and the fact 1 out of every 3 drivers are UNINSURED. Scary to know that your 30k car could get hit and you be left covering for it. Especially since they wont have a dime to there name!

ohionab 10-14-2010 12:16 PM

well, one plus side is that Louisiana isnt a 'No Fault' state like Michigan. Up there it is... no ones fault. You cover your car and i cover mine. So, from my understanding, if you are driving your nice S2k, and i am driving some 1991 Ford F150 and I PLOW into the side of your car...... well no fault. So, I would cover my $1000 POS '91 F150, and you cover your nice expensive S2k.... so sucks to be you lol. Plus side is that you dont have to worry about the uninsured, cause either way you arent getting money from them haha.

icemans2k02 10-14-2010 12:25 PM

lol that is true sir! btw do you have the s2k and a DD? or you DD it? lol so many questions I know but I try to look at the different ways to save!

ohionab 10-14-2010 05:42 PM

well its sort of a DD. I have an '03 Escape, so sometimes i drive the escape and sometimes i drive the S2k. Technically the S2k is cheaper cause it gets better mpg, but i dont like putting miles on it just to drive to work so a majority of the time i switch to the escape for my daily driving.

As far as with Progressive i labeled the S2k as a weekend car, and the Escape as the daily driver.

icemans2k02 10-15-2010 05:58 AM

If you DD the Escape I will CRUSH the progressive policy. You will have to talk to me about it. Its what I have my S2000 on. Cost me 500 dollars a year. No deductible, full coverage, and covers my 02 for 28k with all my mods I have.

ohionab 10-15-2010 06:38 AM

haha, so which insurance group do you work for anyway?

icemans2k02 10-15-2010 06:58 AM

I work for Allstate sir :)

ans2k 10-16-2010 07:08 AM

WTF!?

that is not how your are suppose to clean the inside of your exhaust. lol ha ha ha ha

icemans2k02 10-16-2010 07:47 AM

lmao!! wow I forgot about that. We messed with Steve and told him it would be cool to do it :)
