Finding extra funds and a babysitter isn't always the easiest of tasks...
Kids enjoy the Dragon too. No need for a babysitter.

The money you save on a babysitter, you can spend for loging and gas.

problem solved.

Hey, 2 of us drove from NEW HAMPSHIRE...a grand total
of over 2300 miles round trip. Don't know how far N.O.
is but I'm willing to bet it isn't 1000+ miles each way.

I like the way you think! You heard it from a seasoned vet. That's why they pay him the big bucks to solve problems like that.

But seriously, my sister and her boyfriend took her kid (3yo) to the dragon this past weekend and he had a blast! His car seat was flopping from side to side and he was screaming to go faster (If I'm lying I'm dying!). It takes a little bit of planning to make these weekend trips happen, but it can be done.

One guy drove over 1000 miles from northern N.H. to attend...and he was glad he did. (He also got a standing ovation at the dinner.)

If distance is an issue, its way shorter if you caravan...or at least it seems that way.

If money is an issue, there is a nice little camp ground about a mile from Fontana Villiage. I might just take advantage of it for Dragon Ball Run (the fall event...September 11-14.)

I guarantee you that comparing the dragon to red bluff is like comparing the superdome to a highschool stadium. Its like comparing dinner at Commanders Palace to lunch at Burger King. Its like comparing an S2000 to a Chrysler Sebring convertable. Its like comparing a B18C5 to a Honda Lawn Mower motor. And I loved the red bluf run.

You owe it to yourselves to find a way to make one of these events. DBR08 or WTD09. You just don't get that many chances at this kind of driving in one lifetime.

And, yes, I went to DBR07 and was hooked. Went to WTD08 and got more hooked. DBR08 is definitely on my schedule.

BTW, for those who are wondering, the fall event is smaller and in many ways more fun. Plus I like fall up in the smokies even better than springtime. Plus you are really ready for cooler days and nights by mid-september.

So come on, folks. Plan early and lets get a nice size group together for a really fun caravan up to NC this fall. (And its western NC near the TN border.)

The Dragon makes Red Bluff look like the Wendy's drive-through!

So how much more convincing do you guys need?

It's like comparing Mardi Gras to a house party in Duluth!

That ought to hit home with the N.O. folks.
