BTW-- Where is Phillip? He was there last year.
I was Philip's +1 last year and had a good time despite not driving.

He's saving his time for a Disney trip with the family this summer.

hi guys, yall should have went to the event but you didn't. For that i am giving you hell! alright, if it was too mean, let me know and i wll make it a bit sweeter. but ya... yall shoulda went

Metro drove 14-15 hrs from NY to attend this event and we all loved it. Try to make it to the next one, so your club members won't be there all alone.

I missed 2 days of classes to attend this event. Stefanie had to cancel attending to help her sister move, but she said that she skips classes to attend also. Some people avoided missing classes/work all together by driving up a day late.

Like I said, it takes a bit of planning ahead to attend one of these events. It definitely isn't a spur-of-the-moment type of trip. I found that by planning ahead I was easily able to save enough money for gas and lodging. I filled up 3 times each way with some left over, plus whatever I burned at the dragon. I probably spent less money on this trip than some of these guys spend on wax in one month!

Remember guys: >>>>

Lodging is pretty cheap if you share a cabin with a few people, and your only other expense is food which you can bring with you if you wish to save money.

I planned ahead to get my school work done in time and I had others take notes for me. I skipped one test Wednesday night (which I didn't REALLY need to do, because I didn't leave for 3 more hours anyway!) which I was able to make up because of a mysterious case of "food poisoning" haha!

Sometimes you must make sacrifices to live life. If you plan carefully, these trips require very little or no sacrifice at all. I hope to see you at a future dragon event!!!

Wish it really was that easy but diff teachers/rules for every class so it doesn't always work that way. A missed test/hw in my first class CAN NOT be made up no matter what the circumstances (teachers rules) and with finals next week im still going for

There sure are a lot of excuses in this thread.

Instead of looking for reasons NOT to you, you should be looking for reasons TO go.

School is lame.

I'm a student too... I completely understand where you're coming from. If you really want to participate you have to work with your instructors to make sure all the loose ends are tied up before you head out for a fun weekend. That's where the whole careful planning comes into play.

Or like I said, you could always head up a day late like some people did. It still leaves you with 2 days of amazing driving.

...and about "school>dragon", you'll be singing a different tune once you're up there! haha
