A buddy of mine drove it and was very disappointed. Think of the CR-Z as a cooler version of the Insight. Econo car for the people that want to look cool.

haha, that is an awesome way to think of it.
Yeah, sorry, I can ramble a lot about the CRZ. My disappointment made me very opinionated about the car lol. I even flew back home to ohio to go to the last Detroit autoshow where they unveiled the production ready model. Back then the rumor was that it was going to have a 1.5L engine and come out to about 160 hp and 200 ft*lbs torque.... man was that rumor off....
Thats also where I got to check out the new 2011 Mustangs, which i gotta say that 2011 3.7L V6 is sorta nice. Also saw the new Fiesta and Focus. Ford seems to be doing some nice things lately.

Oh wait, no, back then the rumor was a 1.8L out of the civic..... the 1.5L was what they ended up putting in there.
Also, yeah you are right, the M3 was not opening up at all on Top Gear. Still interesting though that when the Prius is pushed to the limits at that 'performance level' the M3 is technically more efficient than the Prius. Amazing how 50 mpg to drop down to 17 mpg lol.

Honestly, I think Honda/Acura stopped designing sports cars a long time ago. They don't make a car today that attracts me. BMW is my new Honda! My current budget doesn't reflect this though. NSX/S Fan for life!

the crz just reminded me of a crx but all new-fangled and shit. the way it drove and everything just seemed like the same car. i think that's truely the angle they're going for with this car. just as impractical but newer. god knows the back seat isn't any more convenient...

Lets look at the Honda tradition. They have always focused more on handling than ride, and power is usually right along side with competing companies. Compare the Accord to Camry- Accord handles better/ Camry has a much better ride. I just wish Honda could figure this hybrid thing out. Toyota still seems to be whooping up on Honda on efficiency. My Yaris three door has shown well over 40mpg and its not even a hybrid. So I ask myself WTF? Should I also mention its fast? Ok no need for lies here, but if you take a look at the sportbike world its almost the opposite. IMO the competitors are usually faster with better handling, but the Honda (in general) is usually a better overall experience in riding. The CR-Z 6spd is still probably not going to impress anyone as far as performance is concerned. It feels a bit quicker, but its still not where it should be.
