tire installation
So, i went down to the tirerack suggested installer in Alexandria today. I sent the tires from tirerack to them based on the fact that my mom was visiting and we were going to go check out the deep deep south louisiana.
Well, luckily to start with i started talking to one of the guys there, and as soon as i mentioned i had a S2000 he let me go hang out on the shop floor to talk cars. When he did that i saw that their tech was putting the wrong tires on the wrong wheels (the 255 on the 7.5" and 225 on the 9") so i said something... it took them awhile to explain to the tech what staggered meant but he figured it out eventually. Then he didnt know how to take the center caps off..... anyway so i get them, at a quick glance the right tires are with the right wheels, I leave, I look back (have them stored in my escape), and what do i see!??!?!!?! a nice ****in bulge on the lip of one of the back wheels. You could see a witness mark where something hit it, and the lip was bulged out at a small section. Take it back. At first they keep asking if i am sure it wasnt there before.... no.... then they say that they dont know how they could have done that, and say that since the tire is holding air they cant do anything for me. I also noticed a few paint chips on two of the spokes on the same wheel. Showed them that too.... i can touch that up easy enough, but WOW their technicians suckkkk. So, hopefully JJ up in shreveport can fix them (fingers crossed).... if not well its not too noticeable but still sucks big time.
So, I should have been patient.... if i would have been patient then i would have heard about the guy at holmes honda, and i could have gotten it done right the first time..... oh well.... lesson learned. fingers crossed that it can be repaired.... its not bad, but i dont know how much you can 'reform' forged Al.....
Oh and the installer was Allied Tire and Brake.... might wanna avoid them.....

i tell ya man... it seems almost impossible to get something done these days the way it's expected to be done...
we go out, pay for a service, and get a shotty job because people half-ass the service. you're not the only one who's fed up with shotty work.

yeah i hear ya marshman. its one thing if they admit up front 'hey we have no idea what we are doing with these wheels' lol, but all their stuff on tirerack said that they are experts at custom wheels blah blah blah.
yeah ans2k, I left them a bad review. I also threw something up on the tirerack forum on here letting that tirerack rep know (Tim i think his name is). Also, monday i think i will call up their home office just to file a complaint.

I am getting close to putting new tires on mine too so I feel your pain. I had Donnie's in LR do my girlfriends Sentra they did really good, but I'm in Conway now so not sure who to use.
