Wilber replaced my Robbins top and did a fantastic job.

Does he have a business, or is he just "a guy" you know who works on them?

Who is the mechanic? Also, I do not know of anyone out here that does top replacements. I was going to attempt to do mine myself when the time came. maybe

Had mine done by Superior Honda(through Superior) and they did an outstanding job. OEM soft top from Honda was $1920.08. Still stiff and needs help going up and down. LOL.

Gen,
Top replacement is definitely in the DIY category but there are a few steps that are a PITA. Give yourself a weekend NOT in the summer and it's okay.
I second the sentiment about the front corners needing to be sewn. OEM comes sewn already. Also, OEM has better lower plastic strip sewing as well as hole alignment. In hindsight, I'd buy OEM from Majestic honda and DIY. It's worth the few hundred extra for OEM ease of install.
Edit: Majestic sells them for 890 so that's not to bad for assured perfect fitment.
