I used to work at Walmart. They preached that things should NEVER be left in the receiving area. If it couldn't be seen then it couldn't be bought. I wonder if the employees talk to a manager and said they wanted to buy them. The manager said they could put them aside, but if someone asked they had to sell it.

After looking at Circuit City and Best Buy and a couple WalMarts I was ready to give up on an iPod Touch for AJ. Then we were eating lunch at a Backyard Burger in front of another WalMart and a couple of their employees were at the next table.
I asked if their store had any iPod Touches. The guy, Pete, says "Yeah, I work in electronics and we got 16 in last night." When I get to the store there aren't any in the display case. But Pete is there and he checks in the back. He comes back with two boxes of eight. He said security doesn't like them to put too many out at once.
