jdm screen?
hi ya there people. been trynig to sort out my sat nav but no one can help me? its all in japenese. the screen dont even turn on. does anyone know how the screen comes out? or anyone who can sort the nav out? please help cos no one here can help me! Honda are hopless. they get upset cos its an import so dont wanna help
I am assuming that you have the OEM navi unit that is built into the dash?
As far as I know, there is no on/off switch. As soon as you turn the ignition on, the screen lights up and starts to initialize the navi.
perhaps, the fuse is pulled?
but, just to confirm that you have all the pieces, you also have the navi-control unit mounted in the trunk right? Mine is mounted on the left side, resembles a CD changer. If you don't have this control unit, this might explain why the screen is not lighting up.
lastly, I doubt they make maps for the UK, so even if the navi lights up, not sure what you can do with it?
good luck, let me know if you have any questions, since I am living in Japan, my Navi-unit is functional.
