Default JDM Screen

I guess this has probably been asked before and I have read a few threads regarding the screen but nothing conclusive has been said:

I've just bought a 99' JDM S2000 - complete with the in dash screen and sat nav/honda navigation DVD unit in the boot.

The system is, at the moment disconnected, the screen doesn't turn on and the black DVD unit in the boot is disconnected.

What can I do with the screen if anything?

I wouldn't mind just to use it to play DVD's? Not really bothered about the Sat/nav component but it would be nice to see this working as well although I appreciate that this might not be possible.

Also the sound from the stereo in the car is DIRE, suggestions?

Thanks,
Simon.

I dont think you can even use the Sat / Nav system, as everything is supposedly in Japanese, and there is no language converter (that I know of). Someone in Australia had one, and was trying to make it compatable with Aus. maps, but it was not working.....

A screen is a screen. Just depends on what the input is. Post this in the electronics forum, some of the EJ's could probably sort this out in no time. I see no problem playing DVD's.....you just need a DVD compatable HU with the proper video outs.
