Just watched this, awesome. So interesting that they lapped faster with top down!

I somewhat thought the car would be faster top up as there would be better flow of air around the car I guess this isn't the case.

so then would the car be slower with a hardtop?

HT would have a slipperier surface than the roof though, and its not flexible.

im glad the s2000 had a good run with the 350z but i think the 350z let him through at the end to try take the boxer.

According to the subtitles the 350Z was quicker on the straights but slower in the corners. And eventually the brakes went on the 350 giving the S2000 the lead.

Not bad for a 'dinosaur'.

Dinosaur or not I know which car I'd choose between Z has no chance.

also i always had in my mind the Z4 being pretty strong!

don't know the specs and all but anyway i was quite shocked how it went

it was an auto z4.. wouldnt be fair... BM didn't even give z4's SMG...

SMG box is fragile .

mate of mine who works for Autosalon, was invited to the E46 M3 launch and after a dozen or so laps, 4 out of the 5 SMG M3's had busted gearboxes !!! they had to limp back to the pits in Safe mode.

These BMI battles vary in results.

Ive seen the S2000 vs 350z coupe and the S2000 didnt get anywhere near it .
