Default Brawn Virgin

Gotta love an underdog. Especially one on pole position (1 & 2).

not feeling the 2009 design cars, they look like A1 GP cars . The narrow rear wings look dickhead

Bit harsh. Would be fairer to say they are better at interpreting the rules, and the governing body seems to agree.

Or as Barrichello said, "When someone is behind,it is easier to say that your rivals are against the rules than to do better work,'.

Strange for Melbourne; but I am borderline sunburnt from yesterday.

I ran around in my Honda merchandise and found others who had done the same. Great conversation starter: "You just can't let go either? Free hugs."

I hope Honda is kicking themselves right now. How could they let go of Jenson!

^ you should have just told people that you didn't realise Honda was now BrawnGP hahah

Ah what a fantastic finish for BrawnGP!!!!! When Kubica was coming up on Vettel, with the harder tyres, I had a feeling they would crash into each other...haha and then Vettel went into the first corner too hard haha omg awesome action!

What a fairy tale result for Brawn (and nightmare for Honda).

Feel sorry for Webber though.

*** spoiler alert ***

Yeh, fantastic result for the Brawn GP team, but Honda must be kicking themselves for letting go after spending all that time and money on this car and this team, and to see the results in someone else's name...

(engine aside of course)

Same question arises again, would have the Brawn car done well with a Honda engine & box? also Hamilton drove stunningly from 18th to 3rd position where his rivals didn't score a point...

And it's the same answer: Who Knows? I don't think anyone outside of Brawn GP would really know. My guess is, there'd be very little difference, for reasons I've stated before. The engine plays much less of a part these days than a decade or two ago, when engines were capable of twice as much power as the current V8s.

Additionally, you forgot about one important element - the driver. Lewis Hamilton is one of the fastest drivers out there, and if anyone could fight through from 18th to 3rd, he'd be one of them. Furthermore, if you look at the fastest laps from the day, Jenson Button stands out as the fastest Mercedes-powered car (in 3rd) by almost a second over the next best Mercedes in Adrian Sutil (11th). The other Mercedes-powered cars follow (including Barichello's in 14th). Jenson Button had a cracker.
