Also the fastest lap was by Kubica in the closing stages which he opted not run with the KERS system, he stated after the race that he could have caught up to Button and challenged him for the win at the rate he was going towards the end if he and vettel didn't crash each other out.

I only caught the last half the race yesterday and having not really followed F1 for a couple of years I was really annoyed that the cars were either not displaying numbers or they were not clear! I had no clue who was who, there was a helpful list of placements on the screen but then when the camera was on a car I had no idea who it was.

Do the cars have numbers on them?

I know there were a couple of incidents that bunched the cars up but it did seem to be a much closer race this time. And great result for the new team!

Yeh but that's only because Button was on the soft tyres and Kubica was on the hard ones...Button was miles ahead, I think it was over 40 seconds or something ahead of the field before nakajima crashed

Firstly, Button was doing fine even on the worn, soft tyres. Something to do with the diffuser.

Secondly, Button had a nice margin before the safety car but nothing like 40 secs. ANd hey, SCs are part of racing.

The reality is Kubica was running well but had 4 seconds or something to make up and two cars to pass to take the lead. All in 6 laps. Highly unlikely.

I was hoping Vettel would hold up Kubica, seems he went a bit too far.

Oh, and Hamilton didn't actually finish third, Trulli did but was penalised for a SC incident.

It was awesome to watch live, they are soo damn loud I went without ear plugs for 5 laps and couldnt handle it anymore lol.

The ultimate speed comparison was soo damn good to watch, when the v8 supercar roars past, I was like f*** me thats loud, and the you can hear the wheelspin of the f1 bmw roaring down the main straight, and the concept I had of loud went out the window.

I'm sure there are enough EG Civic boy racers out there to carry on the racing. This is unfortunate however.

I enjoyed John Button's interview. He said Honda did everything they could - and the team thanked Honda for all their effort over the years.

BAR Honda, Honda Racing F1, Brawn GP...to me you are still Honda

Looks like Trulli has been re-instated as third for the OZ GP. Hamilton was disqualified after McLaren was found to have deceived and lied to the FIA.

Brawn, Williams & Toyota are in a FIA court hearing about their rear diffusers, looks like their diffuser design is going too be banned.
