Good on him.

The thing is Schuey retired on a high note. If he were to come back the public would expect the same and as he gets older it's harder to perform (ask me how I know). So if he retires again in 4 years do you expect it will be on the podium or as a washed up has been?

And it's not like the guy needs the money.

just like Michael Jordan...

retired the 2nd time on the highest possible note and came back after a 3 yr break to be overshadowed by guys like Kobe Bryant , Lebron James , Grant Hill.

IF he comes back and he doesn't perform then yes he will loose some credit, but then again if you love racing and you just want to get back into it for the fun of it even better then he doesn't have to prove himself, when he lost the championship against alonso in his last year is part due to the fact Ross brawn had left Ferrari, now with Brawn at Mercedes and Shumi jumping on board with him again should be interesting, i know it wont happen and its all media hype.

a guy like schuey doesnt go racing to make up the numbers .

If the car is competative, he has a chance to win .

In F1, doesnt matter how good you are, if the car is not upto scratch you have no hope, Brawn GP didnt finish the year off too strongly.

There's more speculation about Shumi's return but yeh I wont believe anything till I see him in a car on race day. With Brawn being there I think there is a more then likely chance..

Kubica is a very good driver!! if he has a good car under him he will be a real contender for the title.
