Flooding in Brisbane
So I thought I'd go to Coles to grab some stuff in case services get cut off. I think everyone had the same idea. There was a traffic jam of cars lining up to get into the shops and when I finally got into Coles, it was packed with people and most of the shelves were already stripped bare. I was also part of the huge bushfires in 2003 that devasted Canberra, but this feels like it's on another level.
The Brisbane area (includes the western suburbs and the Ipswich region) has been declared a natural disaster zone.

And whats worse is the flood is only going to get worse over the next 2 days..

ok.. so no going to work tomorrow. They're cutting power to both of my Head Office Locations from 7am. Anyone working along Eagle Street don't bother. Power will pretty much be cut from maybe tonight till Saturday.
Its at times like these that I wish I wasn't working in IT and had remote access... this'd be a free day off.
