I've paid a deposit on one through Optus. Can't wait to get it.
Purchasers of the early model must be upset though. It's a 3rd of the original price.

Not sure, but in the US it's $199 for the 8Gb and $299 for the 16Gb and Apple is pretty protective of pricing.
I expect that is on a 24 month plan with fairly high usage but I qualify anyway.
