Yep, the improvement to MAPS is pretty good. Love the Street View functionality.

 

Well, I am kind of glad the salesman was so incompetent at the vodafone store the other day. I use my phone as a modem maybe once a week for 10-20 minutes. It is not worth getting a wireless dongle/card for such little usage (currently included in my plan) but it would be a major major bummer not being able to do it. I only do it when I REALLY need it so if I can't it is a big deal.

I know that you can jail break the iphone and use it as a proxy with one of the unnoficial apps but the blackberry storm is coming and it does everything I need (on paper) so i'll wait and check that one out.

 

Firmware 2.2 adds podcast downloads to itunes app and streetview which is amazingly useful.

The Storm apparently is even more difficult than the iPhone when using the touchscreen keyboard. There are some reviews on the web already so check those out. I think vodafone will have them in mid/end next week.

 

I have read a few reviews. There is everything from fanboys (both phones) to moderates.

Having been "exposed" to the Iphone a few times I really like it. But no bluetooth modem /internet sharing is a big deal for me.

I'll check out the storm when it comes out.

 

Anybody managed to find a good cradle/car charger solution for our cars + the phone?

I remember beaves had one for his iPod but given the different dimensions don't think it would work.
