Default One for the runners (Yea Beaver, that is you)

Been using mapmyrun for a couple of months. One thing that I don't understand is the auto-calculation of calories for workouts. It seems to me that there is a bug in it.

Specifically, I am doing the same run regularly. Each time a little faster. However, the auto-calculated calories go up and down for no apparent reason. One time is 1000 calories, the next 1200 the next 855.

It is the exact same run and my weight hasn't changed... what is the deal?

Does your run go through a McDonalds Drive Thru?

If so, depends whether you SuperSize or not.

No response yet from them.

No. Once a week only.

i had the same problem .....

i was running 5-6kms a day, 6 days a week , burning about 600 calories a session and i couldnt drop any weight i was doing this for about 2months with nill result .

after a brief chat with MAD828 , i altered my diet and have dropped 9kgs since November . ALOT of tuna and fat free chicken sandwhiches in that time

gone from 90kg to 81kg , trying to get to about 78kg and will maintain it . doing more weights to bulk up , as i dont want to lose too much size.

:-).... the question wasn't about the weight... it was about the calorie counting program... same workout, same weight, different calorie count, not increasing, not decreasing just random variation.

As for the weight... not working on that at the moment, just the endurance part of exercising.
