Good tips japcab. I googled some articels online as per FD's advice and everything seems to be about playing tightly and not going in at all unless you have something like a high pocket pair or A, K, Q etc and suited. But the number of times I see the flop or turn card go my way with what could have been a killer hand I just want to punch my nuts. Sometimes I'm holding a 4 and 5 or 6 and 8. And if other players play the conservative way and the flop turns out be something like 3, 4, 6 etc. wouldn't you have an advantage over the other players who would have only gone in with picture cards? Any hands which seem good but are actually quite crappy or any seemingly crappy hands that are actually worthwhile to hold onto until at least the flop?

I'm playing at a game at the Mosman RSL on Tuesday 6 Nov if anyone's interested in coming along. Starts at 7:30pm or thereabouts.
