Whilst in New York we made a pilgrimage to Strawberry Fields in Central Park.




It is a section of the park dedicated to John Lennon, who was shot just across the road at his home in the Dakota building in 1980.

We also visited the Dakota building.




As we were leaving I told my favourite New York joke:

"I love New York!
I love New York even though it's the city that shot John Lennon.
And what's worse, spared Yoko!"

As I was saying the punch line I felt Deb tugging on my shirt. Guess who was walking by at the time?



They say comedy is all in the timing.

Yep.

Deb saw her face but I was too late to get a good photo. She walked into the Dakota straight after I took that shot.

 

HAHAHAHAH..AWWSOME...

 

Not too sure what to say to that........thats kind of freeky.

 

We need a caption comp. What do you think Yoko's companion is saying? Aus will judge entries and pay the winner $2000.

 

"Hmmm, my popularity seems to be slipping. Perhaps if I put out another album of screaming and clanging artistic clap trap it will rise again!"

 

Not what Yoko's saying, you goose. What her companion is saying!

How about: "But Yoko baby, you said you really like beaver. Isn't this camel back making me more like him?"

 

I just realised you meant Beaver, not beaver.

And camel back rather than toe.
