Hi guys, just turned over 40 thou. in my '99......Rang Collins Honda of Rockdale today for a standard 40k service quote.....$750.....

Has anyone had their 40k service done in the south Sydney area recently.....Don't mention Tynans

Anyone got any ideas if this is close to the mark for this service and if anyone knows of a reputable speedshop in the southern Sydney area who are up with the S2000.....I have no extended warranty...

I'm about to book mine too so let's compare pricing. I've just requested a quote from Scotts.

I just bought my s2000 from Scott's so it would be interesting to see how much they charge for a service.

Anyone out west may like to try Honda at Parramatta, or Trivett Classic (don't know what their prices are like).

Also it is worth noting that many mechanics/speedshops are qualified to stamp your servicing book. I know for example Ultra-Tune advertise that they can service your vehicle retaining the warranty (as to how good they are or what they cost, I don't know).

Speedshops may be worth looking at, as a lot of young guys are Honda Intergra Type R's etc, which have VTEC.

From what I have seen, prices are usually around the $500-$1000 mark for services on performance vehicles.

Thanks for the responses guys...mine was originally sold to the first owner by Collins of Rockdale so thought i would go back to them....Told them i had the 30k service done by Tynans..closer to home, buts thats another story ....Collins asked me while i was on the phone, how much i paid for the 30k service at Tynans......$534 was my reply......was informed that they (Collins) charge $180 for that one
Where do all these different pricings come from!!..
Wonder if Honda dealers watch these forums..

Be sure to let us know, AusS....I will have to get mine done next week.....Scotts is too far for me but price comparison will be interesting.....Till they call you during the day and says.."it needs this and it needs that" and the original quote goes up

sort of off topic, but im due for 50k service in 500kms, so has anyone had one of them done recently?...

can u say why u didnt like tynans?. as they are only 5 mins from me... or pm me the reasons if u dont wana post it... thanks...

I am due for a 40k service soon as well.
While ringing around, could you guys ask if Honda in NSW would charge extra for servicing a s2k with a SC as well?

My 40K is coming up in the next week or two as well.

Will get a quote from Rick Damelian when I get back to Sydney next week.
