If we could find out what they're interested in we may be able to encourage them with pertinent topics. Hence my suggestion of scouring the interational forums.
Can anyone else think of any ideas to get them participating?

While I see the importance of freedom of speech and opinion, I'd like to think this is one of the more civilised forums in an Internet full of teenagers and misinformed ricers.
I fear encouraging more active forum posters might lead to degradation of the quality of the forum...?

I could be wrong here, please correct me if I am, but I thought that membership and the ability to post here was strictly limited to S2000 owners only. Is that right?
Perhaps in Australia, because of our relatively small size compared to the USA, we have special dispensation to allow ITR owners to participate?
Anyway, even if non-Honda owning "enthusiasts" are allowed to participate I don't recall any causing any significant trouble. The biggest now-departed troublemaker was a genuine S2000 owner. We can always shut out any nuisances if need be.

While I am not an ITR owner nor an S2000 owner, I still participate in these forums since most of the topics have very little do with S2000s or even with cars! But this is one of the few forums where posters are actually from Australia and it's easier to relate. Most of the other Australian forums are like I mentioned -- full of teenagers who are obsessed with Kr0M3 r1mS 'n' siiik bodyK1ts. Not my cup of tea.
The difficulty is increasing participation in this forum while maintaining a decent quality especially in the maturity of the posts. Sure there've been some name-calling fests here (hehehe usually never to do with S2000s) but it's never gotten to stupid.

I'd also like to point out that number of posts does not actually represent 'Post Whorism'. As an example, I rate pretty highly in the posts but have never posted a 'TTT'. I recently posted a sentence over 3 posts but I was being facetious.
I may be a loud mouth, but I ain't no post whore!

I can't believe I've started the most threads!!!
As for the posting rules, I think anyone is allowed to post. I mean there are members out there with WRXs, Audi's etc ... it's a very open forum. I think it should stay that way! Anyway, we've had some great discussions which were not S2000 related.
