Unhappy AP2 headlights

Hey guys,

I was just wondering is it worth getting AP2 headlights from the states..?

im pretty sure i read somewhere that the light cut off is like

_____/-----------

instead of

-------\_______ (which is what we have in aus)

has anyone here had any experience with changing the headlights in the s?

also by playing around with the headlights would it be hard to get both light cut off lines to match up? ive seen in some s2k's which have been in a small accident or some of the older s2k's where there are two light cut offs ie.

-------\_______
-------\_______

somthing like this, ^.

I really want to get this conversion done but i don't want to end up with F@#ked up lights in the end which look good but have shit visability.

Also whats the good price for them? has anyone got any quotes from honda dealers?

im guessing its about the 1500 mark for the headlights? + simple mods to original ballasts.

Thanks,
sm

I beats paying $1200 EACH from Honda SPare Parts doesn't it?

Considering they go for $ ~$700US 2nd hand, for a set, (plus post to Aus) I'd consider $500ea, brand new from Honda, a ****ing bargain....

hahah yeah... for some strange reason i just had 600 for the pair stuck into my head and now i think 500ea is ****en expensive! does anyone know if the installing them is a pain in the ass? or is it just a few easy mods to the AP1 ballasts etc... btw has anyone in aus done this conversion?? i see alot in the states but not there..

i reckon forget upgrading headlights/tail lights etc to newer ones......they arent cheap and your spending a big whack of cash on something that only s2k owners will notice the difference; to everyone else its just another s2000 and they wont notice the fact that you have updated headlights.

Get the same amount of cash ($1500??) and grab yourself a decent amp, splits, headunit and soundproofing for the doors.......or a set of rims or something.
