Seriously, the problem was an oil leak. The solution is fix the leak. Cool air would have just created a blast furnace.

Yeah fair enough....seemed to have omitted the fact of the oil leak in my head. My bad for the dumbness.

Okay, I really need to make this point.
It was an oil fire due to an oil leak.
There is no such thing as an off the shelf oil shield for a Honda S2000.
Whether I use my shield (which is fine BTW) or some heat wrap, or a combination of the two is not yet decided.

Woo hoo, in one week I manage to pull it down, correct the problem and get it back together again.
Took it out last night and blew an intercooler coupling off. LOL
