Default Headlight alignment

hi guys just wondering how to realign headlights on the s2k?

i have just received my car back from the panelbeaters after a crash, everything is perfect except the left headlight (which was replaced) now points more downward than the right one...

what is involved in realigning the headlight so that the light projects slightly higher?
does the whole headlight unit have to be pulled out or can you access it behind the radiator overflow bottle?

any help/advice/ideas is greatly appreciated.
cheers

It's supposed to be the other way around Why wouldn't you just ring them up and have them fix it?

at this stage time is my main issue otherwise i would have dropped the car off and had them sort it out which they have said they can do, but their business hrs clash heavily with when i work so i thought if it wasnt too difficult i would give it a go myself and align them to my satisfaction

I think there is an access port and you use a phillips head screwdriver to adjust it. But then I know there is a difference between ours and the US as ours have auto leveling. Have a look under the bonnet near the light.

this access port you are talking about, do i get in thru the gap behind the radiator overflow bottle, or do i gain access from under behind the wheel splash guard?

I'm really not sure. You'd have to look for it.

Under the hood - you'll need a long phillips head or a small socket on a long extension - can't remember the size - a torch and a dark place is reccomended!

- the adjusters are white plastic, and the last time I tried to tweak mine they had frozen, and the screw driver started to shread the plastic - hence the socket.

I've recently adjusted my left headlight.

Without buying a new one, I couldn't find a long enough philips head screwdriver to do the job. I ended up using a tiny circular-shaped ratchet with a socket that was overall only about 50mm high and it worked fine. Using this tool I was able to access the adjustment screw via the large hole in the inner guard.

To remove the radiator overflow bottle from its mount, simply slide it upwards.

If you need more specific help, let me know.

I lowered my car a while back and found that the light is a bit low/short and I need to do this adjust ment soon too. I just wonder what his the Australian regulation as to how high/long the light should be?
