HELP!! Looking to buy Australian beer (not Fosters) in LA
Hey guys,
Just wondering if any of you know of a place I can get some Crown Lager or Cascade Premium out here in Los Angeles. All we have out here is Foster's (I know both of these beers are made by Foster's). I'm not sure if Crown Lager or Cascade Premium is imported out here or not.
Can anyone help me out. I need to find a place before Mon. (Sept. 2).
Thanks.

The only decent beer Fosters makes is VB. Don't bother with Crown or Cascade, neither of them have any taste - as a matter of fact they're almost exactly like a typical US beer, served so bloody cold so as to remove even further any semblance of taste.

VB is the only "drinkable" Aussie mass market beer, bar none. All the rest are either too sweet or tasteless.
Crown has to be the most over rated beer there is.
Sorry Wilch, I am on a bit of a crusade here.
FYI, for most of you guys, my beer preference is usually a nice thick (and warmish) english ale, none of this germanic or scandinavian frozen sugar water.
There are a lot of good local specialty brews (such as grand ridge brewery or that place that Bernie and Muz took me to up on the Gold Coast) all with (capital F) Flavour!

Most aussie beer is tasteless although my preference has swung to the James Squire range of Porter, Amber Ale and India Pale Ale.
I tried Mountain Goat for the first time recently and that was OK - no smartarse comments please!
I drink VB for a cheap swill.

Thanks for the opinions on the beers guys. I wasn't able to find anything in time (except for Foster's). Oh well, nice to know what you guys consider good beers and bad beers.
